Nice Read Hank!! Much appreciated. Just seems like waste to use a roster spot for Anderson. I get what he brings, but I don't know make him a Asst. Goalie Coach for know and if injury occurs then he's your Ace in the whole until the year is over.

Over or Under: Does Anderson play more than 3 of the 14 games the Sabres have through February 1st?

Disagree on the goalie decision that will be made. Unless UPL goes into the tank he is going to remain a Sabre. They'll be playing in front of a darn near sellout tonight because they're in a playoff race right now. That can not be allowed to slide away, and I do not believe Adams will allow that at this point.

No way am i giving a roster spot to Vinnie or Asplund before Anderson. Not a chance. Anderson brings a .915% to the games he plays. Nuff said.

Especially with Comrie coming back within a week.

Jokiharju is a top 4 player to them when he returns.

Again I ask: Do you think all of Clague, Bryson and Lyubushkin are performing the same?

I'm not convinced Joker is a Top 4 Dman. He might be playing as such on this team, but that doesn't make him so.

I would think that the ideal 2RHD is a Defesive focused player who can play along side Samuelson on the 1st PK. Joker ain't it. He loses guys around the net way too much for my liking.
To me a lineup would be
Sammy - Dahlin
Power - Hakanpaa/Shenn
Clague(Johnson) - Lyubushkin

PP time is powered by Dahlin-Power - Johnson (fillin)
PK time is powered by Sammy & Hakanpaa, relived by Clague & Lyubushkin

That is a very nice mix of Offense, Defense, PP, PK, snarl.
Bryson can be 7th

Hakanpaa isn't a good enough skater to be with Power IMO, he would be a decent 3RD.

One thing I've learned from seeing these situations is that GMs are overwhelmingly going to take the path of least resistance when conducting roster moves.

Waivers exemption is prioritized extremely heavily, whether right or wrong. But we'll see

Good call. I don't know the legality of having him retire/unretire and whether he'd be interested in doing so, but it would be something to consider.

It could be more of a next year approach. Start as a coach, sign if needed

Sign the goalie kid that was just invited to camp, played great in the tournament, and called on Kevin to sign him. He can play somewhere, cincy or Rochester I’m guessing.

Keep looking for that 2rhd upgrade.

Conversely, if UPL has a 5-goal stinker in the next 3 games, it'll be easy for management to say "not ready" and send him down.

UPL probably plays today, Monday (flyers) and Thursday (jets). He'll almost certainly get 3 of the 4 somehow
